It took a while before I realized
I have been rubbing my bare skin with a dead animal for quite some time now.
This specimen was discovered in the bathtub.

Sponges (member of phylum porifera; spongia officinalis)
are simple marine animals with many cells, but no mouth,
muscles, heart or brain.

They are easily mistaken for plants.
