Found by my son Jona.
He saw how someone had placed the animal under a tree by the roadside.
About 1 km from the river Spree.
It wasn’t run over, as there were no external injuries.
After close inspection, I found out that the squirrel had a fishing wire
around its neck/ in its mouth.
No hooks were found. I did not want to damage the squirrel by tearing out the wire.
There was very likely to be a hook stuck in its throat.
